SOME MORE GARDENING IS GOING ON

I swore I was not going to get into anymore gardening at this new home, but I couldn't resist trying to recreate these stacked pots that I saw on Facebook.

They are just starting to come into bloom,

and so is my little wagon that I filled with Petunias.. But, I swear that is all the gardening I am doing.

My daughter on the other hand has been really busy since they moved their trailer out here.

Her and her daughter in-law have been creating a cozy little nook on an unused  piece of concrete beside the house.

They have created a nice little patio area behind their trailer.

They have added some annuals, some hanging plants, some patio furniture, a bird feeder, etc. etc. etc.

I hope this area isn't too shady for the annuals they have planted.  Time will tell.

It has turned into a quiet and pretty little outdoor oasis.

READY TO BE ENJOYED

THE NEW FIRE PIT

My daughter Wendy has brought her trailer out and put it in our yard so she can spend more time out at the lake this summer.

So, while I had the help of my grandson Blake and his wife Mel, we went and bought the fire pit I have been thinking about and they lifted all the bricks into place.

I am very pleased.  This is starting to look like what I envisioned, but Sea-Enna is a little suspicious of this new thing in the yard, that wasn't there yesterday.

 ONE MORE JOB DONE

Wednesday 9 May 2018

BUSY, BUSY, BUSY

As the weather finally started to improve we are coming out of hibernation and starting to get something accomplished.

Dan did the big job of cutting out a bunch of old dead trees and raking the entire yard.

We managed to find some of my perennials that were planted last year, as they are now poking their heads up.  But I was disappointed to find how many of the shrubs have been nibbled back by the deer.

Dan has moved on to working on the boat.  He is scraping and painting the hull, while I am concentrating on sanding and painting the old lawn furniture stuff that was left behind by the previous owners.

This one is going to have a pastel colour on it.  All the different pieces around the campfire are going to be painted with many different pastel colours.

WE ARE KEEPING BUSY WAITING FOR THE ICE TO GO OFF THE LAKE SO WE CAN LAUNCH.
