BOXING DAY IN SIESTA VILLAGE

Well, Dan's bruising is finally fading and he is back to his old self.

Today we went to Casey and Sharon's annual Boxing Day Party.

It's a little breezy, but she lucked out with another gorgeous day in the valley.

A great, party, with lots of fun and lots of laughs.

THANKS GUYS, ANOTHER GREAT ANNUAL EVENT

CHRISTMAS DINNER IN PARADISE

We enjoyed our Christmas Dinner with Park friends old and new.

It was the usual Christmas fare.  We buy our ticket and for that the Park provides Turkey, Stuffing and Gravy, as well as Ham.

Then each of the table guests bring a pot luck dish.

It always turns out delicious, and this year was no exception.
As well as the basics mentioned above we had Green Bean Casserole, home made Creamed Corn, Mashed Potatoes, Dinner Rolls, Cranberry Sauce, Pecan Pie and Pumpkin Pie and Fruit Salad.

I HOPE EVERYONE ELSE HAD A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS AS WELL

SOOOO! WHAT'S NEW?

Well, here I am finally getting around to posting another blog.  I would love to be able to say that the reason I haven't blogged is because so much has been happening and we have been so busy that I haven't had time. But alas, none of that is true.  The truth is that there really has been nothing to report, and nothing to write about, that is until late yesterday afternoon, when Dan stepped out of his truck to go into a store, tripped and fell and face planted into the concrete.

The damage done was mostly to his dignity.  He was just embarrassed and really sore.  He has a bad scrape on his nose and forehead and a very sore left arm, which he hurt trying to protect himself from the fall.

I certainly blame those damn flip-flops that he wears all the time down here. I never wear my flip-flops except when puttering around on the patio, but then he has never had and knee and hip problems like I have had, so he is not as cautious as I am.

He is very very lucky!  At our age, a fall can be a serious thing.  It can be a game changer.  Thank goodness this turned out to be nothing, that rest and time won't heal.  Now if I can just get him to slow down and rest.

THAT'S WHAT WE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE HERE FOR!

DANCING IN TEXAS

Saturday night we went to Trophy Gardens to dance to the music of "The Agency".

This was our first dance of this Winter Season.  We met up with Sharon and Casey and a group of their friends from Siesta Village.

We had a really great time and are looking forward to a lot more of this.

AND THAT'S WHAT I LIKE ABOUT TEXAS
