IT'S AN INDOOR RAINY KINDA DAY TODAY

Well, I've finished producing and printing my Park newspaper, so I can relax again until the third week in February.

It's raining outside and the temperature is only going to go up to the mid to high 60s.

This is a good day to use up my leftover beef and veggies from my Sunday's pot roast Dinner and make a big pot of home made soup.

Then curl up and watch a movie.

AND NOW IT'S ON TO A LONG WARM SPRING

I certainly have been lax about keeping up my blog this past week.  Time just seems to fly by. We certainly haven't been busy doing really exciting things.  Just busy.

Since last I blogged, I had my 74th Birthday.

Then we went out Dancing at Siesta Village on Saturday night.

I helped Dan make some Brownies (which I almost ruined) for his Burger night.

Plus I have been busy working on our Park Newspaper.

Meanwhile the temperatures are creeping up a little higher every week from the lows around new years.  Today's high is going to be 78, which is just the way I like it.   So, I will try to tear myself away from my computer and get some outdoor chores done.

TIME FLIES WHEN YOU'RE HAVING FUN AND EVEN WHEN YOU'RE NOT.

IT'S COOL AND RAINY THIS WEEK

Here we are the second week in January and it's a little cool and rainy here in Paradise this week.  Today we got a break in the clouds, so Dan is busy with little projects.

He has decided it's a good day to pick a bunch of grapefruit from our trees.

It's not exactly a sitting out on the patio day, for me, but Sea-Enna loves it anyway.  And Dan did manage to get us enough grapefruit to do us for a couple of weeks.

When I say cool and rainy, that's by Texas standards, not by Manitoba standards. The highs this week are only getting up to the mid sixties, but the sun is supposed to come out and be in the 70s by this weekend.

SO, THIS TOO WILL PASS

HUMMINGBIRDS

I have hung a hummingbird feeder outside my dinette window.

I have had a constant array of the green/blue iridescent humming birds visiting.

And on rare  occasions this beautiful little copper and white hummingbird visits.

Now I even have a golden finch deciding to dine at my feeder as well.  But I think I am going to have to scare him off, as he seems to be bullying the hummingbirds.  We can't have that.

AFTER ALL, IT IS A HUMMINGBIRD FEEDER

NEW YEAR'S EVE

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

We had a lovely evening at the Park dance.

It was a very low turn out but always nice to spend this particular evening with good friends.

Especially when we do it in our own park so there is no driving to contend with after an evening of partying.

WISHING EVERYONE A PROSPEROUS AND HEALTHY NEW YEAR
