DANCING IN THE RIO GRANDE VALLEY

We all went out dancing last night. We wanted to get one last dance in, before we head home, but there is not much going on in the valley any more.

We ended up going to Trophy Gardens to see "Jealous Heart".  A band that Dan and I have seen before, but they seem to have gone a lot more "Country" than we remember.

So, we were a little disappointed in the music.  But we had a few drinks, a few dances and a few laughs.

Maybe we will still find something next weekend, as we have had a change of plans and are heading home on April 3rd.

Dan and I order and bring down enough medications for the entire time we are here, but Dan just counted one of his meds and it seems he only has enough for just over another week. So, it's time to head home.   The next week will be making lists and packing up.

WE ARE SOON HOMEWARD BOUND

IT'S GETTING HOT, HOT, HOT IN TEXAS!

We come to Texas in the winter for the weather and it is wonderful.  While here, we live outdoors as much as possible.

Although Sea-Enna loves the snow, at home in the winter, she also loves the long walks she gets down here in the winter as well.

And Daisy's arthritis is fairing very well down here, rather than in the deep snow at home.

But, I find we are spending more and more time indoors with the A/C on.  This weeks forecast is for up into the 90's, and so, I'm wondering what next week will bring.

When that starts to happen, we might as well be at home with the heat on.

Today we found relief sitting around, with our feet in "the pool".

We even got Sea-Enna in on the act today.

So now my thoughts are turning to packing up and plotting out our journey home.  That will be our focus for the next couple of weeks.  How much snow is still at home?

I DON'T WANT TO GO HOME TO SNOW

ST. PATRICK'S DAY IN PARADISE

The day started off with our  annual Paradise Park, St. Patrick's Day Parade.

There sure were lots of golf carts, walkers and bikers taking part.

We were getting a little worried that this was not going to happen this year, as participants were a little slow to sign up.

But it all came together beautifully.  With fun and enthusiasm.

Lots of fun, and great decorations.

I think this is the best parade the park has ever had.  Thanks Everyone!

Sea-Enna loved it too.  She was trying to catch all the candies that were being thrown.

With the help of my daughter Elizabeth, my annual St. Patrick's Day happy hour was another great success.

DAISY HAS A BATH!

So now, until I resolve my issues on this stupid computer purchase, I will muddle through with my good old Acer, which is still serving me, if not well, at least serving me.    .

Yesterday, because it was so hot, Dan decided to purchase a "Kiddy Pool".  I have often said that in the hot weather Sea-enna would love a pool to cool off in.  "As she loves, so much,  to swim off the boat in the heat of the summer.  Well, last week, Dan saw some kiddy pools on sale and brought one home.  No mater what we did, we could not convince Sea-Enna to go into it, but it didn't take long for Elizabeth to convince Daisy to get in there and have a bath.

Once in, out came the Dawn dish soap, some cream rinse

And of course some hugs.  Talk about a spa treatment.

I am sure Sea-Enna was wondering why she rejected this spa treatment.

All in all the Kiddy Pool was a good investment.

THAT KIDDY POOL IS LOOKING MORE INVITING ALL THE TIME.

I BOUGHT A NEW LAPTOP

I am so sorry, I must apologize to all my regular followers, but I have been having computer problems.  And that is why my postings to this blog have been so sporadic.  I have been using my Acer laptop since I bought it back in 2008, just prior to starting this blog.  I must say it has served me well.  Once we were retired and living aboard "Thunderbird", full time in the summer, I quickly learned I needed a portable computer for use on board.  By then we were also talking about buying a trailer and travelling south in the winter, so at that point we decided that a laptop was essential.  I had all Dell equipment at home in the condo and was quite satisfied and looking to buy a Dell laptop, when I stumbled across my Acer laptop, offering everything I was looking for, at Costco and it was on sale for a good price.   Of course being the bargain hunter I am, I purchased it and have been very satisfied with it for all these years.  But 12 years is a looong lifetime for a computer.

At this point I have already updated my desktop computer to, an HP with Windows 10 a year or so ago, and that has worked out very well.  So now that it is time for a laptop update I have purchased an HP laptop with Windows 10.  That should make the switching back and forth from desktop to laptop that much simpler.  (And keep the learning curve to a minimum, as I am always afraid of the dreaded "Learning Curve".)

So, I bought a HP laptop on line, which because we had already headed down to Texas, finally arrived with my daughter after a long journey from Toronto to Winnipeg, then with her down to McAllen,Texas.  I prepared myself for the dreaded learning curve and delved in.  Only to find there was "A PROBLEM".   I contacted tech support and I had to ship my new computer back to them and they were to fix it and ship it back to meWhich of course took two weeks, so when I received it back last week, I did not want to get involved with the learning curve until I finished my latest edition of the Paradise Park Press.  So now that that has been completed I turned back my new computer again and guess what?  It was doing the same thing.  I then talked to tech support again and I had to ship my computer back to them again and they, knowing I was getting fed up, vowed they were going to ship me,  a brand new one.  Guess what??? The new computer arrived and it was working fine.  I was whizzing along installing my email apps and contacts, installing my blog programs, etc., etc., etc..     Then I walked away from my computer to make dinner and got busy and never went back to it until the next morning and there it was stuck with the same problem the original computer gave me.

THAT'S IT I'm out, I can not deal with this crap anymore.    So I just sent the seller a message saying that I want a refund and they can stick their computer "where the sun don't shine", (not in those exact words of course) but I'm done.

"GRRRRR"

I HATE THIS CRAP!!!!!!
