DOES ANYONE HAVE A MACHETE I CAN BORROW?

 After cancelling everything and staying home all day, awaiting with great anticipation for the delivery of my new lawn mower.  Around 7:00PM I got a new email from Home Depot saying the delivery of my "in transit" lawn mower will be delayed until Tuesday June 29th.  GRRRRR!    

Maybe some time this weekend my son-in-law or my Grandson will stop by and try to help me get the gas mower going.  We'll see.  

Meanwhile with nothing else to do I have started digging out my CANADA DAY decorations.  

 

I have so many of then, because when we lived on our boat in Boundary Creek Marina, it was always kind of a tradition to over decorated your boat before you went out cruising on Canada Day   

I miss those days so I'm going to decorate the heck out of my house and yard.  And I'll still have plenty left over to give to my daughter for her new cottage.  We'll start a new tradition.

SPRING CHORES

I have not been posting regularly as I used to do.  But, I am going to try to give it a go again.  I thought this was worth a try.  

Well here it is spring again and having two power mowers in my garden shed But, I have ordered a new one on line, and it is supposed to arrive tomorrow. 

 

 

 As you can see I am in desperate need of a mower.  Another day or two and I will need a machete to make my way into the house.  

Back to those two mowers I have in my shed.  One is an electric mower with a cord (which we all hate).  I managed to cut my lawn for two years with that mower, that was a gift.  And NO I did not run over the cord.  But we did hit something (I think it was an old stump or a hidden root).  After that, it ran for a while, but by fall it just gave up. As for the gas mower, ( I hate gas mowers)  They are like outboard motors.  Finicky and temperamental.  They will only run when they are in the mood.  I always scoff when I see someone pulling their guts out on an outboard motor or a gas  mower.  NOT ME! So I have ordered a new cordless electric mower, with a charger & two re-chargeable batteries.  

 

It is supposed to arrive Thursday, and it will probably take me the rest of the weekend to get my yard back under control.

WHAT HAPPEN TO THE SPRING?

 I was so happy last week, and now I'm not.  Last week the weather was so nice, I felt I was making such good progress, cleaning and pooper scooping my yard.  Looking forward to spring.  Digging out my Spring decorations that I like to spread around at this time of the year to cheer me on. 

 

 

NOW LOOK WHATS HAPPENED! 
 

  I have got more snow in my yard than I have had all winter. 

 

 I have been hibernating the last three days watching it accumulate.  I feel very defeated.  

So, I am trying to buck up my spirits and my energy to face the chores ahead.  First I have to dig out my parka.  (which I packed away)  I have to find my snow boots   (which I packed away) I have to make my way out to the garage to find a snow shovel.  (which I packed away in the garage) un pack my snow blower (which I packed away in the garage) Clear off my car which I didn't put away in the garage, because I was sure this was going to be just a spring like dusting of snow.  ggggrrr.  

I AM NOT PLEASED!!

I GUESS THIS TOO WILL PASS.
