McKinney Falls State Park, Austin Texas

Well, it was a long drive but we have settled in to McKinney Falls State Park. We have been here before and done all the sight seeing, so we will be moving on again tomorrow.

We blew right past "Thackerville", didn't even take pictures. "Been there, done that".

But Dan did get to stop in Denton, at his favorite Semi/RV /Car Wash.

We are going to try to make it to Weslaco tomorrow.

Good Bye Oklahoma

We picked up our truck today, it now has a brand new rear end Plus Plus Plus. Oh well it had to be dealt with. Tomorrow morning, we are hooking up the trailer and we are off to Texas. We love this park and so does Sea-enna, but enough is enough, it's time to move on. It will still take us a few days to get down to the Rio Grande Valley. It finally got up to 50 today, but each day further south it will be warmer and warmer. Having acheived brown grass on Friday now that next thing I want is shorts and sandals weather. Dan is looking forward to his birthday tomorrow in Texas.

"It's Always Something"

It turns out the mechanical problems we were having, were not the transmission. but the rear end. It is all torn apart and spread all over the shop floor, but they assure us it will be back together and as good as new sometime tomorrow. So we should be able to move on to Texas on Wednesday morning. Like Rosanne Rosanadana says "It's always something".

Boring Day in Oklahoma

It seems we have developed mechanical problems that can't be seen to until Monday, seeing as how everything is closed for the New Years weekend. So we will be hanging around here until Wednesday morning. Nothing much to do around here except rest. Which is a good thing because we have both come down with colds.

SEA-ENNA

Sea-enna and her toys sure take up a lot more room than they did last year when she was a whole year younger.

New Years in Oklahoma

Well, we weren't going to celebrate New Year's Eve, but Sea-enna insisted on a party. She wanted to have some friends over, but it's turned so cold that we are the only ones left in the park. It's bright & sunny, but cool today. There is still no snow, but it got well below freezing last night and apparently it will again tonight. Then it's supposed to improve back to more seasonal norms of mid 50s.
