5OTH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY #2

This is a continuation of 50th Wedding Anniversary #1.    In this the 2nd of my Anniversary Blog posts, I really must take the opportunity to thank my children and their significant others for all the work they put in to make this party a success.

My son Jim & his wife Rachelle.

My son Ken and his new friend Ann.

They were all so busy, here , there and everywhere, we couldn't catch some of them together long enough for a together picture.

My daughter Tracy  Elizabeth "Tbeth" to friends & family and her husband  Gary

Also, my daughter Wendy and her husband Murray.
They all contributed so greatly to our special day.  We must give special thanks to Jim for his music and the special Power Point that ran during the dance.  To Wendy for the Power point that she created for our first dance, and all the catering supplies.  To Tbeth for the beautiful decor she created.  To Ken for all the lighting, wiring and power supply.  Plus thanks to all for all the work that was put in on the food and all the myriad of small chores that are required to pull something like this off.  Even our out of town guests pitched in on Saturday and were also commandeered for speeches and photography along with my granddaughter.

THANKS EVERYONE

More to follow in Anniversary #3...........

50TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY #1

After all my fretting and concerns Everything came together beautifully, thanks to my children, friends and family.

As our guests arrive, they sign our guest book, it is so nice to see so many old friends and family in attendance.

Then Dan and I came off of our boat and arrived at our party.
It was so wonderful to have my neice Lisa and her twins Micheal and Racheal here from Ohio.

Also in attendence was Lisa's brother Leon and his fiance Lynn, also from Ohio.

To Be Continued......................

THE TENT IS GOING UP

The process is starting.  They laid the tent out on the ground.
They raised the center pole, then slowly went around and raised the side poles
They slowly straightened and tightened the sides.  It's not as big as |I thought it would be.  Apparently the sides will not be put on until Friday due to the possibility of winds.  So that is one more thing accomplished.

WHAT A RAIN

Wow, did it ever rain here last night.  It rained a little in the evening, but during the night it really poured.  Dan emptied a pail, off the dock today, that was empty and now had 6 inches of rain in it.  Poor Murray tried to put his canopy down during the storm and it was full of water and it broke.  We had to pull the drain plug on our dinghy this morning, it was swamped.    We are slowly drying out today.

So, having nothing else to do today, except to wait for everything to dry out, Dan installed our new Stainless Steel Bar-B-Q.

We can now Bar-B-Q when we are out on the lake.  I am very pleased.  I have wanted this for a number of years.  Now I have to get busy and make a cover for it.

I guess Dan doesn't want to get his new Bar-B-Q dirty yet, because he has decided to use the old dock Bar-B-Q to cook our steaks tonight.  Oh, well, we will christen it someday.  Some evening he will take me  "Out", for dinner.  Out on the lake that is.
HAPPY BOATING
