TAX TIME IS COMPLETED FOR ANOTHER YEAR

Well, we got home this year with only two weeks to spare til tax time.

But everything fell into place, with forms and documents that I pre-arranged, being there and accurate.  So our taxes are done already.

So now, it's on with boat launch preparations.

I HOPE THE WEATHER WARMS BACK UP

SETTLING IN AT HOME

We arrived home Thursday afternoon and got everything unpacked.

I came home to a wonderful surprise, my daughter, Tracy Elizabeth, had professionally cleaned my whole condo.

What a treat!  I was thinking about having to face that chore when we arrived, but WOW it was all done for me.

Friday was spent with other chores, like picking up keys, doing banking, going grocery shopping, etc. etc.  It will take a few more days to start to feel at home around here, I still kinda feel like I'm just visiting.

Then next weekend it's out to the beach to start to work on the boat.  June 1st will come very quickly.

AND BACK TO BOATING SEASON

TODAY WE FINISH OKLAHOMA AND CROSS KANSAS

Well, I started this post on April 13th when we were heading out of Oklahoma and on to Kansas, but that night I had no Internet or the next night either.  So here I am, April 15th in Grand Forks, North Dakota, having had no problems and smooth travelling all across Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, South Dakota and almost to the northern edge of North Dakota.

It's a good thing we had no plans to go any further tonight, because the border area has been closed for most of the day with prairie grass fires and the vehicle accidents that they have caused.

We are sitting here in our motel watching the news and hoping this is all cleared up by the time we head north in the morning.

TOMORROW IS THE END OF A LONG LONG TRIP

PACKING, PACKING, PACKING

We are now coming down to the wire.  All the lists we have been making over the last few weeks are coming into play and have to be crossed off and completed.

We have planned all the meals for the last week, to use up all of the perishable food.  Just a couple of little coolers to go with us.

Because we came down in the trailer in the fall, we don't have any suit cases with us.

So the cardboard boxes are slowly being brought into the trailer and filled. What to take and what to leave?  Always the question.

I also have to create a couple of "Motel Bags"  of "overnight" stuff, to take into the motel each night.  Jammies, toothbrushes, etc., etc..  Sea-Enna also needs an "Overnight Bag" of dog food and dishes.

And last but not least the Patio furniture is finally all packed away in the shed.

Always a challenge each year. But we got it all in there for another year.

AND SO TO BED, AND ON THE ROAD TOMORROW MORNING
