ST. PATRICK'S DAY 2016

We had another successful St. Patrick's Day party this year.

We had a good turnout, and lots of Irish Car bombs were served.

Everyone had a good time. It was a little shorter than usual, as we all adjourned to the Street Dance that the Park had planned for this year.

PARADISE PARK - ST. PATRICK'S DAY STREET DANCE

Our Park decided to have a Bar-B-Q and Street Dance this year on St. Patrick's Day.

They served Beer and Brats, not exactly Irish, (seems more like German to me) but everyone lined up to fill their plates.

There was a really good turnout.

The Music was supplied by "The Shadows", that are very popular with us locals.

They really got the crowd going and there certainly was, "Dancin' in the Streets"

I think this idea is a good one and should be repeated, I just hope it's not on my St. Patrick's Day.

DANCING TO THE CLASSICS

Last night we went out dancing to a group called "The Classics".  I had heard a few nice things about them and their 50s, 60s, 70s music.  It turns out that one of the members is from our park.

So, we got our little group together.  Consisting of :  Lois and Larry

Ed and Hazel

And Dan and I, and off we went.

It was a good crowd and good music and a good time was had by all.

ORANGE BLOSSOMS

The last couple of months I have been very entertained by the humming birds outside my dinette window.  But, that time has passed.  I guess the humming birds were in their winter home, or were migrating on their way north.  Either way they are no longer around.

Now all of the Orange trees are starting to bloom.  Each day more and more blossoms show up on the trees that are on all the RV lots.  It is a very pleasant fragrance on those rare calm, still nights, which we don't get very often here in Texas.

But, we are always thankful for those breezes as March starts to get hotter and hotter and finally drives us all northward.

ONE MORE MONTH IN TEXAS

March is here and that means we are into the countdown to locking up and heading home.

Dan has only one more night of cooking burgers for our Park's Burger Nights.

I have only one more newspaper to produce.

We have our big annual St. Patrick's Day Party to plan and look forward to.

We have a project (closing in a storage area under the front overhang of the trailer, for my trike), that we have been talking about, but we don't know if we will get to that this year.

Maybe after Dan is finished with his Burger Nights?.

THE COUNTDOWN IS BEGINING

ANOTHER DANCE, ANOTHER GREAT TIME

We had another Park Dance this past weekend.  There was a good turnout and everyone that showed up had a good time.

The Musicians, "Chuck and Earl"  really got the crowd going pretty well.  But they disappointed me in the end.  The last 20 minutes, They decided to start showing off their Guitar and Drum techniques and everyone had to stop dancing, because you couldn't really dance to that.  I felt like going and telling them that they were hired for a dance, not a rock concert.   But, all in all it was a good night.

THEY'RE BACK.......!    The Party Girls of South Padre Island are back and continued their partying at out Dance.

I FINALLY GAVE IN TO AIR CONDITIONING

I hate air conditioning.  I always feel like, If I wanted to stay indoors with the doors and windows all closed I might as well have stayed up north with the furnace on.

But the other day, we knew it was going to get pretty hot, so I agreed to have it on.  Well, the whole time it was on, it cooled us down, but the fan was making a slight squeaking noise, so Dan has decided it needs work.  Now Dan ordered a new blower motor (overnight express) for our air conditioner.  The weather here in Texas is just going to get hotter and hotter, from now until we head home, so I guess it's necessary.

So, yesterday Dan and Larry installed the new blower motor and the A/C is working like a charm.  I'm sure I will be glad of it in the next few weeks.

THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP LARRY
