PACKING AND PLANNING OUR TRIP HOME

Well, we are down to the last day in Paradise Park for this season.  Tomorrow morning we are heading north.

We have been busy the last few days making lists and checking them twice.  The laundry is done.

The packing is almost finished except for last minute kitchen things tomorrow morning.

My Patio is all packed up and put in the shed.

Lot 335 is looking rather deserted.

Sea-Enna is getting edgy.  She knows what it means when these bins appear all over the place.  It means 3 or 4 days in that horrible truck.  She hates the trip.

Today was banking, shopping for snacks, drinks and fruit for the trip home and my last pedicure.

I THINK WE ARE READY TO ROLL!

NEXT STOP, DENTON TEXAS.

THE TRAILER HAS BEEN SPRAYED

Each year before we leave for home, we arrange to have our trailer sprayed for insects.  It's something that everyone down here does, so we just followed suit and started doing it every year.  I don't really know if it does any good, but it's like the "Elephant Repellent".  I haven't seen any around here so it must be working.  LOL

First we call Oscar's Pest control.

Then we move everything back away from the perimeter of the trailer, both inside and out.

Then they spray under the trailer, and around the perimeter, inside and out.

We also arranged for Milt and Barb's mobile to be sprayed at the same time. Because they left for home a couple of weeks ago.

So they are safe from bugs and "Elephants" until next year as well. LOL

ANOTHER CHORE OFF OF OUR CHECK LIST.

PARADISE PARK IS EMPTYING OUT QUICKLY NOW.

As we drove through the park today we realized how many RVs have left already.

It's starting to look a little deserted.

Empty lots everywhere.

Even our new Neighbours Travis and Terry pulled out today.

They are off for home.  Have a safe trip and we will look for you in the fall.

DAN AND I ARE HERE FOR 2 MORE WEEKS.

WASN'T THAT A PARTY

Well St. Patrick's Day has come and gone for another year.

It turned out to be a great day with lots of fun.

The weather was perfect and we had a good turn out.

I think everyone had a good time.

And we all ended the evening with the St. Patrick's Day Dance at the hall.

There are not very many activities left to look forward to at the park. Everything is winding down, we are saying our goodbyes and packing up,

THE WINTER TEXANS WILL SOON ALL BE HEADING NORTH.

PREPPING FOR ST. PATRICK'S DAY

Our annual St.Patrick's Day party is fast approaching. Time to precook the Corned Beefs I've been buying.

Dan is busy power washing the patio.  And I have to order my Irish Potato Bread from the Breadsmith.

Plus dig out and wash all my decorations.

Then I have to do an inventory on the bar and make a list of items needed to make my "Irish Car Bombs".  Which are the house special on St. Paddy's Day.

We usually have a good turn out and the forecast sounds good, so I hope everyone remembers to come.

IT'S GOING TO BE A BUSY WEEK

BEACH HOUSE RENOVATION

Year one - is plumbing and bathroom.  This is what we started with.

With a hot water tank in there behind the bathroom door.

Dan tore out all the plumbing and put in all new lines from
the pump all the way to the sewer.

Then we gutted and rebuilt a completely updated bathroom.

Two new entry doors for the bathroom, one from the bedroom and one from the kitchen.

A new hot water tank in a utility closet, then new flooring and fixtures.

The finishing touches for 2017 were the tiling grouting and and finishing of the new shower stall.

Next summer will be the Kitchen.

WE WILL GET IT DONE ONE ROOM AT A TIME

WARM WEATHER IS FINALLY BACK

And we are back to visiting the pool and hot tub in the evenings, after a very hot day.

There is nothing I like more than a swim, then a soak in the hot tub then another cool down swim.

It is very calming and a great cool down before bed.

I HOPE THE COLD WEATHER IS GONE FOR GOOD
